Finds and stone lore

Minerals

Stones, spheres and points with clear details on material, shape and colour.

Polished mineral stone on a plinth

What to look for when buying a stone.

Three details place every stone: the material, the origin and the shape. Two amethysts can differ clearly in colour, pattern and weight. That is why it pays to look at each piece, best of all in the shop, in your own hand.

Rough stone
Unpolished, just as it comes from the find. Broken edges and crystal faces stay visible.
Tumbled stone
Rounded and smooth in the hand: the classic shape for a pocket and everyday life.
Jewellery stone
Drilled or faceted for necklaces and bracelets. Here the cut, the setting and the size of the hole matter.

Minerals, your way.

Tried-and-tested blends

Frequently asked questions about Minerals.

How do I choose minerals at Aaliechtli?

Choose by material, origin, colour and shape, with personal advice in our shop. Stone lore is a tradition and does not replace medical advice.

Why does Aaliechtli separate rough stones, jewellery and rollers?

It shows you faster whether you are looking for a single mineral, a piece of jewellery or a roller. The terms stay close to how we talk in the shop.

Are all minerals in the online shop in stock?

Most pieces really are on our shelves. Some are one of a kind. If one is gone, we look for similar stones or let you know when one comes in.

Can I return or exchange stones?

Stones are natural products, so every piece is unique. An exchange is possible if the piece comes back undamaged. Drop us a line first and we will sort it out with you.

Why do two similar stones have different prices?

Origin, size, colour, clarity and cut quality set the price. Two pieces that look alike can come from different deposits, and that affects their value.

How do I care for my minerals at home?

Most stones can be rinsed gently in lukewarm water and dried with a soft cloth. Some do not like sun or moisture, so ask us in the shop if you are unsure.

Unsure about choosing or using it?

Behind the online shop is our shop at Marktgasse 7. For stones and incense we stick to material, fragrance, shape and safe use.
