About 100 replacement wicks in a round tin, made for the “Aaliechtli” oil lamp. Using it is simple: pour about 1 cm of water or holy water into the bowl, top up with cooking oil (not lamp oil), lay the float on the oil and clip a wick into the centre. The light burns until the oil is used up. The Aaliechtli was originally an ancestors' light, lit when a family member died. Today it is lit to think of someone who is going through a hard time, facing an exam or setting off on a journey.
